The message we most want to receive

A correction. Scottish opening hours, ferry timetables, attraction prices and bus routes change constantly, and the fastest way we find out that a guide has gone stale is a reader who has just been there. If a detail on this site did not match what you found on the ground, tell us which page and what you saw — that is genuinely useful and we act on it.

Other things worth writing about

  • Image credits and licensing. If you photographed something we have used and the attribution is wrong or incomplete, get in touch and we will correct or remove it promptly.
  • Tourism boards, attractions and operators. If we have described your business inaccurately, send the correct information and a link to where it is published on your own site.
  • Press and republication. Questions about quoting or referencing our guides.

What we cannot help with

We are an independent guide, not a booking service. We cannot book accommodation, buy attraction tickets, reserve ferry crossings or arrange tours, and we have no access to any operator’s reservation system. For those, go to the operator directly — CalMac for ferries, ScotRail for trains, Historic Environment Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland for most castles and historic properties.

We also cannot offer personalised trip planning by email. If you are trying to work out an itinerary, our itineraries and trip planning guides are where that work already lives.

Replies

Every message is read. We aim to reply within a few working days, and corrections usually get dealt with faster than that because they are quick. Messages that are clearly bulk link-building or guest-post pitches will not get a response.
